Fourteen Jordanian Journalists Take Legal Oath Before JPA Council
(MENAFN) Fourteen journalists have taken the legal oath before the Jordan Press Association (JPA) Council after completing the required procedures for membership and eligibility to practice journalism in accordance with professional and legal standards.
During the ceremony, JPA President Tareq Momani described journalism as a national mission and ethical responsibility, emphasizing the importance of accurate reporting and adherence to professional standards.
He stressed the role of journalists in countering misinformation and unprofessional content, noting that media practitioners carry a responsibility to uphold credibility, protect public trust, and ensure the dissemination of reliable information.
Momani added that taking the legal oath represents a key milestone in a journalist’s career, reinforcing commitments to journalistic ethics and the public’s right to accurate information.
The journalists who took the oath include Mai Anati, Odai Hneiti, Rana Namarat, Adel Tarawneh, Amal Duhoun, Heba Ramadan, Moatasem Bawareed, Khaled Zoubi, Dima Daqqas, Yazid Faroukh, Fadi Hamarneh, Mohammad Hasani, Abdulrahman Balawneh, and Israa Hamad.
