(MENAFN) Israeli strikes claimed the lives of at least nine people and left dozens wounded across southern Lebanon on Friday, Lebanese media reported.
A drone strike on a vehicle in the city of Nabatieh killed two individuals who were reportedly collecting food aid, wounding a third.
An overnight airstrike on the town of Harouf killed four people. Two subsequent strikes in the same area killed three more and wounded four others, media said.
Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported that strikes across several towns in the Tyre district wounded at least 37 people, among them medical staff, women, and children.
The Israeli army issued evacuation warnings for multiple towns across southern Lebanon as operations continued.
Hezbollah, meanwhile, said it had targeted Israeli drones, ground troops, military bulldozers, and a Merkava tank across several locations in southern Lebanon.
Since hostilities escalated on March 2, Israeli strikes have killed 2,951 people and wounded 8,988, according to Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center.
