Bunker Holding appoints Mikkel Kannegaard as Chief Operating Officer

(MENAFN- Cision) Bunker Holding has appointed Mikkel Kannegaard as Chief Operating Officer, effective 13th May.
Since joining as Head of Global Supply in August 2025, Mikkel Kannegaard has played an important role in the reshaping of Bunker Holding’s Global Supply organisation. He has overseen the transformation of the Group’s supply organisation to a leaner and more integrated model that brings Bunker Holding’s physical operations, sourcing entities, and its new fuels team under one umbrella.
"Mikkel has made a strong impression since joining. He has brought operational strength and a clear sense of direction to an important area of our business. His promotion to COO reflects both his contribution so far and the confidence we have in him going forward,” says Peder Møller, CEO of Bunker Holding.
Strengthening supply and operational alignment
Mikkel Kannegaard joined with the mandate to lead the transformation of Bunker Holding’s supply function. This happened at a time when the Group required clearer alignment between global expertise and local agility to serve its clients more effectively.
Under Mikkel Kannegaard’s leadership and over a short period, the Global Supply organisation has moved to a more coordinated operating structure. Throughout the transformation, Mikkel Kannegaard has also worked closely with Chief Commercial Officer Anders Grønborg to build a closer partnership between supply and the Group’s commercial functions.
This has created a more aligned way of working across regions and global functions and ensures that supply-related activities support the same commercial priorities across Bunker Holding.
A clear focus on execution
As COO, Mikkel Kannegaard will build on the work already underway and help ensure that Bunker Holding continues to evolve with the market while meeting the high expectations of its customers.
"I am proud and grateful to take on the role of COO. Since joining, I have been met with a strong culture and a clear ambition to move the business forward together. I would like to thank the leadership team for the trust they have placed in me. And I especially want to recognise the teams across the Group for their dedication and collaboration that have made the progress so far possible. I look forward to building on the momentum we have created together,” says Mikkel Kannegaard, new COO of Bunker Holding.
