I am an experienced GP (MBChB 1980) and have worked with a high needs population at Newtown Union Health Service for 27 years (recently retired from clinical practice) I work 6/10 at the University and convene the undergraduate course in Bioethics and Health Law. I am the leading clinical authority on working with interpreters, and authored the chapter In "Coles Medical Practice in New Zealand" the Medical Council's guide to practice. I have researched and written widely on working with interpreters. My other main interests are cross cultural care and particularly cross cultural ethics.
