Braden Manns
- Professor of Medicine and Health Economics, University of Calgary
Braden Manns is the Associate Vice President (Health Research), University of Calgary, a Professor in Health Economics and a Kidney Specialist at the University of Calgary. He has expertise in Applied Health Economics, and his current research interests include assessing the impact of health care policies, including how we pay doctors, on people with chronic disease. He holds a CIHR Foundation award in health system funding and was the co-PI of a CIHR funded patient-oriented research network in chronic disease (). He has experience in health system administration, having recently served as Alberta Health Services Associate Chief Medical Officer and lead for the Strategic Clinical networks for six years. Between 2021 and 2023, he served as Interim AHS Vice President for two different portfolios.
