Gaza Bride Gets Injured by Sniper Fire Ten Days Before Wedding

(MENAFN) A 19-year-old woman in Gaza is in intensive care after being critically injured by a sniper bullet that struck her head just days before her wedding, according to reports.

The incident occurs while Hala Salem Darwish is helping her family prepare food at home shortly before sunset, when a bullet enters through a window and hits her in the head, causing her to collapse in front of relatives.

Her fiancé says the couple was only days away from their wedding ceremony when the shooting happens, turning what was meant to be a celebration into a medical emergency.

Medical sources say the bullet remains lodged in her head and has caused severe brain injuries.

Doctors are reportedly unable to operate at this stage due to her unstable condition and are waiting for her health to stabilize.

Family members describe her condition as critical, with her survival uncertain as treatment continues.
