Iran Says It Reviews US Reply to War-End Proposal
(MENAFN) Iran says it is currently examining a response from the United States regarding its 14-point proposal aimed at ending the ongoing war, according to reports.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei states that the American reply was passed on through Pakistani mediators, as reported by a state broadcaster.
“The Americans have provided a response to the Pakistani side regarding Iran’s plan, and we are reviewing it,” Baghaei said.
He adds that Iran’s proposal is focused specifically on ending the war and does not involve nuclear negotiations or related issues.
“No nuclear issue has been mentioned in Iran’s plan to end the war,” he said. “At this stage, we are not conducting nuclear negotiations.”
Separately, reports from semi-official media indicate that Iran previously submitted its 14-point response through a Pakistani intermediary, addressing a US plan that included a proposed ceasefire framework.
According to those reports, the US suggested a two-month truce, while Iran pushed for a shorter 30-day timeline and emphasized prioritizing a full end to the conflict rather than extending temporary ceasefires.
