Zelensky Outlines Three Key Priorities Ahead Of EPC Summit

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The first day of meetings and talks in Armenia, on the eve of the summit, was dedicated to coordinating Ukraine's position with its European partners, Ukrinform reports, citing Zelensky's statement on Telegram.

"First: we are doing everything possible to bring a dignified end to the war closer. I briefed our partners on the state of diplomacy, potential prospects, and planned contacts. Joint efforts are needed to intensify diplomacy and prevent any reduction in pressure on the aggressor. Russia must end this war," he said.

As the second priority, Zelensky highlighted the implementation of the EUR 90 billion European support package, noting that Ukraine is accelerating access to this funding.

The third task focuses on strengthening air defense, ensuring energy support for Ukraine, and deepening cooperation with partners in the energy sector.

"We are already actively preparing for the next heating season and diversifying the relevant support. I outlined all the needs for protection and recovery," Zelensky added, thanking each partner willing to help.

On Sunday, May 3, Zelensky arrived in the Armenian capital to take part in the European Political Community summit.

The summit, held under the slogan "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe," is expected to bring together 48 heads of state and government. For the first time, a country from outside Europe – Canada – will participate in the forum, represented by Prime Minister Mark Carney.
