He added that earlier generations would likely be “delighted” that the conflict of the Revolutionary War had evolved into what he described as one of the world’s most valued friendships.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are undertaking a state visit to the United States from April 27 to 30 at Trump’s invitation. The visit also marks the 250th anniversary of American independence and represents King Charles’s first state visit to the US since ascending the throne.
