Trolleybus Overhead Lines Dismantled In Sloviansk To Protect Them From Shelling
“In the city of Sloviansk, trolleybus overhead lines were dismantled in March this year to allow roads to be fitted with anti-drone nets. The trolleybuses and the network have been evacuated to keep this expensive equipment and machinery intact and undamaged,” Liakh said.
He explained that this measure was taken until it becomes possible to resume trolleybus services on city routes, noting that a similar step had already been taken in 2022.
According to the head of the military administration, only buses are currently operating on city routes, with free services organized for socially vulnerable groups.“Passenger transport has not been running since April 27 to one of the neighborhoods where mandatory evacuation has been declared,” Liakh added.
