King Abdullah Meets Kuwaiti FM to Boost Ties
(MENAFN) King Abdullah held talks on Sunday with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah at Al Husseiniya Palace, focusing on bilateral relations and regional developments.
The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, reviewed the strong partnership between Jordan and Kuwait and explored opportunities to expand cooperation across multiple sectors. Discussions also highlighted the importance of enhancing joint Arab efforts to support de-escalation across the region.
During the talks, the King emphasized that any agreements aimed at reducing tensions must ensure the security of Arab countries, noting that the stability of Gulf states is closely tied to broader regional and global security.
He also reiterated the importance of backing Lebanon in maintaining its security, sovereignty, and internal stability. In addition, he warned against attempts to exploit regional conditions to impose new realities in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.
Senior Jordanian officials, including the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, as well as the director of the King’s office, were also present at the meeting.
The discussions reflect ongoing coordination between Jordan and Kuwait on regional issues and efforts to strengthen diplomatic and strategic cooperation.
