Israeli Attacks Kill Four Palestinians, Including Child Despite Truce
(MENAFN) Four Palestinians, including a child, were killed early Sunday in a renewed series of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip despite an ongoing ceasefire, according to medical sources cited in reports.
Two of the victims were taken to Al-Shifa Medical Complex after a drone strike hit a motorcycle near Kuwait Roundabout on Salah al-Din Street, southeast of Gaza City, the sources said.
In a separate incident, a Palestinian was reportedly killed by Israeli gunfire in the Al-Mughraqa area in central Gaza. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy died from injuries sustained in an earlier strike on Saturday evening in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in northern Gaza City.
Witnesses also reported shelling by Israeli forces in areas east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, alongside gunfire from a helicopter and artillery fire in the eastern parts of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
In another development, Israeli naval vessels reportedly fired shells toward the Gaza City coastline, while artillery struck areas in the eastern part of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
According to Gaza’s government media office, Israel has carried out at least 2,400 violations of a ceasefire agreement reached last October, including killings, arrests, siege measures, and restrictions contributing to widespread shortages.
Reports citing the Health Ministry state that as of Friday, 972 Palestinians have been killed and 2,235 injured since the ceasefire began.
Over the course of the wider conflict, Gaza authorities report that more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed and 172,000 wounded, with extensive destruction affecting the vast majority of civilian infrastructure.
