GCC Denounces Iraq-Originated Drone Attacks on Kuwait Border Posts
(MENAFN) The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Saturday condemned drone strikes on Kuwaiti border posts, identifying Iraq as the launch point of the attacks.
Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi denounced the strikes, warning that "the continuation of these brutal attacks from Iraq constitutes a flagrant violation of the principles of good neighbourliness and all international laws and norms."
Albudaiwi declared the bloc's full backing for Kuwait, "affirming absolute support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability."
The GCC stopped short of identifying the specific group responsible for the attacks, as investigations into the incidents remain ongoing.
