HH The Amir Issues Amiri Decision Establishing Board Of Directors Of Qatar Innovation And Scientific Research Foundation

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued the Amiri decision No. 20 of 2026, establishing the board of directors for the Qatar Innovation and Scientific Research Foundation.

The Decision stipulated that board of directors shall be chaired by HE Dr. Hessa bint Sultan Al-Jaber, with Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Elmagarmid serving as deputy chairman.

Other members include HE Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Managing Director of Hamad Medical Corporation; Dr Asma bint Ali Al-Thani, Vice President for Health and Medical Sciences at Qatar University; Abdullah Hamad Al Misnad, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qai; and Hamad Ali Al Khater, CEO of Qatar Airways.

The board will also include a representative from the Qatar Investment Authority, as well as two experts to be appointed by the chair.

According to the decision, board members will serve four-year terms, renewable for one or more similar terms.

The decision takes immediate effect and will be published in the official gazette.
