Alshaya Group Opens First Global Talent Centre In Egypt To Drive Offshoring Growth
The Global Talent Centre underscores Alshaya Group's commitment to supporting Egypt's digital transformation journey and expanding investments in the country's IT and shared services sectors. It reflects the Group's confidence in Egypt's dynamic young talent, who continue to drive innovation and operational excellence across its regional operations.
In November 2025, Alshaya Group participated in a Presidential Roundtable chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, following its engagement at the Global Offshoring Summit. During the summit, the Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ITIDA, witnessed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. The agreement focuses on strengthening collaboration in operations management, IT services, engineering, research and development, and talent development. It also leverages ITIDA's IT Skills portal to facilitate recruitment, training, and career growth for Egyptian professionals.
John Hadden, CEO of Alshaya Group, commented:“We are proud to mark 20 years of Alshaya's presence in Egypt, a market that has played an important role in our regional growth. Since launching in 2006, we have expanded our footprint, bringing leading international brands and customer experiences to Egypt. Today, Egypt is a vital strategic partner in our regional expansion, and our collaboration with ITIDA through the Global Talent Centre strengthens that role.”
Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, added:“The launch of Alshaya Group's Global Talent Centre reinforces Egypt's position as a leading destination for IT and business services. With a large, skilled talent pool, Egypt continues to attract global companies seeking to scale their shared services and digital operations, positioning the country as a hub for investment from the Gulf and beyond.”
The Global Talent Centre will serve as a cornerstone of Alshaya's regional operations, with Egyptian professionals delivering services to 16 markets across MENA, as well as Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Central and Eastern Europe, Greece, and Cyprus. Over the next two years, the Group plans to expand the centre, creating more than 400 new employment opportunities for Egyptian nationals. These roles will provide meaningful career pathways, supporting skills development and long-term employability.
Since 2006, Alshaya Group has operated across Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria, bringing leading international retail brands such as H&M, Starbucks, Bath & Body Works, Victoria's Secret, and American Eagle to Egyptian consumers.
