Drone Strike in Lebanon’s Bekaa Region Reported Amid Truce

(MENAFN) According to reports, a drone strike in western Lebanon killed one person and injured two others despite a recently declared ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel.

The strike reportedly hit the outskirts of al-Jbour in the Bekaa Valley at dawn, as stated by Lebanon’s National News Agency.

Reports indicate that the attack was carried out by an Israeli drone, even though a 10-day ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel had come into effect on Friday.

Following the start of the ceasefire, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz reportedly said that Israel intends to retain control over areas it occupies in southern Lebanon.

According to official figures cited in reports, since March 2, ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon have resulted in 2,294 deaths, 7,544 injuries, and the displacement of more than 1 million people.
