Lubinets Calls For International Missions To Be Granted Access To Russian-Occupied Oleshky

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Ombudsman said this on Telegra, Ukrinform reports.

According to Lubinets, the humanitarian situation in Oleshky continues to worsen every day.

“Published materials from the town document large-scale destruction and devastated civilian infrastructure. The humanitarian situation in the town is deteriorating further. People there are not living – they are surviving,” he said.

At the same time, Russia continues to manipulate these facts. It shells the town itself, deliberately destroys civilian infrastructure, and then attempts to shift responsibility for its own crimes onto Ukraine. This is a cynical and well-established information tactic.

“The facts are obvious: every day we see the consequences of Russian aggression – destroyed cities and towns, ruined infrastructure, and the death and suffering of civilians, including children,” the parliamentary commissioner stressed.

According to him, the humanitarian catastrophe in Oleshky is a direct result of the occupation and a complete disregard for human life.

All responsibility for the situation in the town lies with the Russian Federation, which is deliberately creating conditions incompatible with life. Russia is waging war against civilians, grossly violating international humanitarian law.

Lubinets urged the international community to move from statements to concrete actions: to ensure access for international missions, strengthen documentation of crimes, and create effective response mechanisms.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Lubinets had earlier called for establishing a humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians from Oleshky.
