Pakistan Conducts Successful Test of Locally Developed Anti-Ship Missile
(MENAFN) Pakistan announced on Thursday that it has carried out a successful live firing test of a locally developed anti-ship missile.
The military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement that the missile “accurately engaged its target with high speed at extended range.”
The test was observed by Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with a group of scientists and engineers who were present to witness the launch.
According to the statement, the missile is equipped with an advanced guidance system and enhanced maneuverability, enabling it to avoid defensive measures, respond to changing conditions, and strike targets with precision.
Officials said the exercise demonstrates a combination of technological development and operational capability, adding that it reflects efforts to maintain a credible maritime deterrence and support security and stability in regional waters.
