Trump Watches UFC Event in Florida as US-Iran Talks Conclude Without Deal
(MENAFN) According to reports, US President Donald Trump attended a UFC event in Florida on Saturday night while diplomatic talks between Washington and Tehran held in Pakistan concluded without reaching an agreement.
He arrived at UFC 327 in Miami, where he was welcomed by UFC President Dana White before entering the venue to watch the fights. Reports say he was joined by several members of his family, while other prominent attendees included US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor.
According to reports, the US president remained inside the arena late into the evening as the event continued.
His appearance came at the same time as the latest round of US–Iran negotiations in Islamabad ended without a breakthrough, with major disagreements between the two sides still unresolved.
Speaking in Islamabad, US Vice President JD Vance addressed the outcome of the talks, stating:
“We have not reached an agreement … that’s bad news for Iran, much more than for the United States,” he said, adding that Iran had chosen “not to accept our terms.”
Reports indicate that the discussions concluded after extended negotiations, with both sides failing to bridge key differences.
