Quds Force Commander Says Israeli Attacks Strengthen "Resistance Front"
(MENAFN) According to reports, the commander of Iran’s Quds Force, Esmail Qaani, stated on Sunday that Israeli military pressure and ongoing attacks have ultimately strengthened and further unified what he referred to as the “resistance front.”
Qaani reportedly said that despite continued strikes, the “resistance front” remains cohesive and organized. He added that, in his view, efforts by Israel to weaken the group through force and casualties have had the opposite effect.
According to reports, he argued that increased pressure has only made the movement more resilient, stating that it has grown stronger rather than weakened over time. He further described the “resistance front” as being “stronger and more united than ever,” as quoted in the remarks.
The comments come at a time when Iran and the United States are engaged in high-level discussions in Islamabad, hosted by Pakistan. These talks are being described in reports as among the most significant diplomatic engagements between the two sides in decades, taking place alongside a fragile ceasefire announced earlier in the week.
