Syria Reports Several Injuries after hand grenade exploded in Aleppo

(MENAFN) According to reports, several civilians were injured on Saturday following a hand grenade explosion in a neighborhood in Syria’s Aleppo province in the north of the country.

Reports indicate that a number of people were hurt after an unidentified individual allegedly threw a grenade into a vegetable market located in the Al-Sukkari district of Aleppo city.

There was no immediate information available regarding the identity of the attacker or any possible motive behind the incident.

According to reports, security authorities have recently carried out multiple arrests across different provinces involving individuals suspected of armed activity, incitement, and alleged links to the former Assad administration.

The current Syrian authorities are reportedly continuing efforts to strengthen security control and stabilize the country as part of broader plans aimed at recovering from the impact of the long civil war, rebuilding infrastructure, and restoring long-term stability and development.
