Kuwait Advises Residents to Stay Indoors Amid Regional Escalation
(MENAFN) Kuwait has urged its citizens to remain indoors overnight on Tuesday as a safety precaution amid heightened tensions in the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the US, and Israel.
The Interior Ministry announced that citizens should stay home from 12 am local time (2100GMT Tuesday) until 6 am Wednesday (0300GMT).
"This is a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring everyone’s safety, enhancing prevention levels, and enabling security authorities to perform their duties efficiently," the ministry stated.
The ministry also emphasized, “This measure is taken in the interest of maintaining security and stability,” encouraging citizens to follow the guidelines and cooperate with authorities during the designated hours.
The region has seen escalating violence since February 28, when Israel and the US initiated military action against Iran. In response, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US forces, resulting in casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
