Anindya Kundu
- Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, Florida International University
Dr. Kundu is an assistant professor of educational leadership and policy studies. His is the author of the new book, Transforming Educational Leadership: Promoting Equity in Uncertain Times (Oxford University Press, 2025).
Kundu is a sociologist who researches the social and cultural contexts that promote student agency and the achievement of students with socioeconomic disadvantages. Kundu studies how students and professionals navigate challenges and pathways to opportunity, from K through Workforce settings.
In 2020, Kundu's book, The Power of Student Agency, was published by Teachers College Press and endorsed by Dr. Angela Duckworth, among other influential scholars and practitioners. It was a 2021 Association of American Publishers PROSE Award (Professional and Scholarly Excellence) Finalist.
Kundu received his Ph.D. from NYU in Sociology of Education. He has received teaching awards at both NYU and FIU.
