Iranian Missile Targets Sharjah Telecom Building, Leaving Two Injured

(MENAFN) Two individuals sustained injuries after an Iranian ballistic missile struck a telecommunications facility in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday, officials reported.

The Sharjah Media Office confirmed the missile impacted an administrative building operated by Thuraya Telecommunications Company in the central part of the emirate.

"The attack resulted in moderate injuries to two Pakistani nationals, who were taken to hospital for treatment," the office said.

Tensions in the region have intensified since Israel and the US launched a military offensive against Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian authorities have not released updated casualty figures in recent days.

In response, Iran has conducted drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets, generating casualties and infrastructure damage while disrupting global markets and aviation.
