Drone Attack in Russia Kills Family, Leaves Youngest Child Injured


(MENAFN) A 12-year-old boy and his parents are killed in an overnight Ukrainian drone attack in Russia’s Vladimir Region, while their five-year-old daughter survives with burns, according to reports.

Emergency crews extinguish a fire that erupted after the family’s home was hit. Residents in a neighboring apartment within the same block in the Aleksandrovsky municipal district escape unharmed.

The boy had celebrated his birthday just the day before, Anna Kuznetsova, head of the district, says.

Moscow accuses Kyiv of targeting civilians amid ongoing Russian advances on the battlefield.

Also on Tuesday, reports state that a Ukrainian drone strikes a school in the village of Velikaya Znamenka, injuring five children and one adult.

The Russian Defense Ministry reports that 45 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight across multiple regions, including Leningrad, Voronezh, Belgorod, Vladimir, Bryansk, Volgograd, Penza, and Krasnodar, as well as over the Black Sea.
