King Fahd Causeway Reopens After Temporary Closure
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia reopened vehicle traffic on Tuesday across the King Fahd Causeway connecting the kingdom to Bahrain, as stated by reports.
The King Fahd Causeway Authority confirmed that traffic had resumed, though no additional details were provided.
Earlier in the day, the authority described the suspension as “precautionary,” following alerts issued by the National Early Warning Platform in the Eastern Province, where the bridge is located.
The National Early Warning Platform is an electronic system designed to notify residents of security or weather emergencies.
Also on Tuesday, Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry reported intercepting and destroying seven ballistic missiles aimed at the country’s Eastern Province. Debris from the missiles fell near energy facilities, and assessments of the damage are ongoing.
