Israel Issues Nationwide Train Travel Warning for Iran

(MENAFN) On Tuesday morning, the Israeli military issued a warning for people in Iran to refrain from using trains across the country for several hours, according to reports.

In a message shared on the social media platform X, military spokesperson Avichay Adraee advised residents to avoid rail travel until 9 p.m. local time.

“For your safety, we ask you not to use trains across Iran from this moment until 9 p.m Iran time,” he said.

“Being present on trains or near railways puts your lives at risk,” he warned.

While the statement did not specify the exact reason, such alerts often precede potential strikes.

Regional tensions have risen since a joint US-Israeli offensive on February 28, which has reportedly resulted in over 1,340 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military forces, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
