To Lam Secures New Presidential Term
(MENAFN) Vietnam’s National Assembly on Tuesday unanimously chose Communist Party General Secretary To Lam as the nation’s state president for the upcoming five-year period.
His selection signals a continuation of his leadership at the highest levels of government.
According to a local news outlet, this appointment represents Lam’s second term in the presidency, following a brief stint in 2024. He is set to hold the presidential role for the 2026–2031 term while simultaneously maintaining his position as general secretary.
