Reduce Speed Around Residential Areas, Schools: MOI

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior urged motorists to reduce speed in residential areas as part of its commitment to enhancing public safety.

The Ministry in a social media post stated that the caution became imperative to minimize traffic accidents and ensure road safety.

It also urged motorists to reduce speed around educational institutions, to allow safe traffic environment.

Earlier, the Ministry had issued a SMS notice to the public to avoid distractions such as the use of mobile phone while driving and called on students to follow safe boarding and crossing practices using designated pedestrian crossings.
