US Soldiers Get Wounded in Iranian Drone Attack on Kuwait Base

(MENAFN) An Iranian drone attack on Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait overnight has injured 15 American personnel, according to reports.

As stated by reports, most of the injured have since returned to duty. The base, located roughly 37 kilometers from the Iraqi border, serves as a key hub for US operations in the region.

The incident comes amid rising regional tensions since a joint US-Israeli offensive against Iran began on February 28, reportedly killing over 1,340 people, including former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US forces, while also restricting maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
