Iranian President Says Iran Holds No Hostility Toward Americans

(MENAFN) Masoud Pezeshkian stated in a letter to the American public on Wednesday that Iran does not harbor hostility toward ordinary US citizens.

“The Iranian people harbor no enmity toward other nations, including the people of America, Europe, or neighboring countries,” he wrote, as reported by state-run media.

Pezeshkian encouraged Americans to look past political rhetoric and consider what he described as the “realities of Iran’s past, present, and aspirations” for a future grounded in “truth, dignity, and mutual understanding.” He noted that amid “competing narratives and deep geopolitical tensions,” relations between Iran and the United States remain among the “most misunderstood.”

The Iranian president underscored that his country has not engaged in “aggression, expansion, colonialism, or domination” and has never sought to initiate war.

As stated by reports, US and Israel have carried out an air offensive on Iran since February 28, resulting in over 1,340 fatalities, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military assets, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
