Uzbekistan Ramps Up Oil Exports And Imports In Early 2026
Data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's National Statistics Committee show that the country's exports of oil and petroleum products totaled $81.8 million during the reporting period, marking a 22.5% year-on-year increase compared to $66.8 million in the same period of 2025.
At the same time, imports of oil and petroleum products reached $404.5 million, reflecting a 39.0% increase year-on-year compared to $291.1 million recorded a year earlier.
Imports of gasoline, including motor fuel, amounted to $341.1 million, surging over fourfold year-on-year compared to $78.8 million in the same period of 2025.
Overall, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover totaled $11.6 billion in January–February 2026. The country continues to diversify its trade relations and currently maintains economic ties with more than 160 countries worldwide.
The largest share of foreign trade turnover was recorded with China (27.5%), followed by Russia (18.3%), Kazakhstan (7.2%), Türkiye (3.6%), and South Korea (2.7%).
