Shell Egypt, Ministry Of Petroleum Spotlight Youth Innovation And Entrepreneurship At EGYPES 2026 Youth Impact Ceremony
The event recognised winners from Shell's NXplorers and Intilaaqah programmes. The Will Power team secured first place in the NXplorers competition for its project on gaming addiction, followed by the SOIL team in second, and Green Vision and Impact Makers in third.
“Developing talent starts with giving people the tools to think differently and the space to apply those skills to real challenges,” said Dalia El Gabry, Vice President and Country Chair of Shell Egypt, noting that the programmes translate learning into practical business models.
In the Intilaaqah startup pitch competition, sports-tech firm Riadi placed first for its digital sports services platform. Booking platform Bookit took second place, while agri-tech venture Herbanol and sustainable materials startup Carbonera were jointly awarded third.
The ceremony also highlighted Egyptian university performance at the Shell Eco-marathon in Doha. Menoufia University placed second in the Data and Telemetry Award, while Cairo University ranked fourth in the Urban Concept category and completed its first valid electric prototype run since 2019. Helwan University secured 6th place in the ICE Urban Concept and 15th in the Battery Electric Prototype category.
The initiative aims to connect early-stage innovation and engineering talent with Egypt's wider energy ecosystem.
