Hezbollah Launches Strikes Against Israeli Forces in Lebanon, Israel
(MENAFN) Lebanon’s Hezbollah reported on Tuesday that it conducted 30 military operations aimed at Israeli army positions, bases, and troops, employing rockets and drones across southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
In multiple statements, the group said the attacks were carried out “in defense of Lebanon and its people,” noting that the operations targeted military sites, concentrations of soldiers, and vehicle deployments along the border as well as deeper locations inside Israel.
Hezbollah added that it also struck areas populated by Israeli forces in northern Israel, including Zarit, Shlomi, Shomera, Metula, and Nahariya, using barrages of rockets.
The organization claimed it hit three Merkava tanks: one on the Qantara Taybeh road in southern Lebanon with a guided missile, which “was seen burning,” another in the town of Rashaf, which it said was destroyed, and a third at Tallat Friz in Aita al-Shaab with a suicide drone that “achieved a direct hit.”
The group stated that several military sites were also targeted, including a checkpoint in the Misgav Am settlement, an air defense system in Ma’alot-Tarshiha, and clusters of soldiers and vehicles in Avivim with repeated rocket barrages.
Additionally, Hezbollah said it struck the Adamit barracks with a swarm of drones, targeted military personnel at the Sadr Friz triangle in Aita al-Shaab, and attacked communication and surveillance equipment east of Taybeh in southern Lebanon.
