According to the anonymous sources, officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain stated in private conversations that the month-long campaign of U.S.-led airstrikes has not weakened Tehran sufficiently.

As the AP notes, at the start of the war, countries in the region complained that they had not been warned about the impending US and Israeli attack and that their warnings about catastrophic consequences for the entire region had been ignored. Now, some of these countries are trying to convince the White House that this is a historic opportunity to finally weaken the Ayatollahs' regime in Iran.

Representatives from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain have stated in private conversations that they do not want the military operation to end until there are significant changes in Iran's leadership or until the country changes its behavior.

U.S. troops and military bases are stationed in the Gulf states, from which the U.S. has launched strikes against Iran, but the countries in the region themselves have not yet joined in these strikes.
