Israel Reports 6,131 Injuries Since Start of Iran War
(MENAFN) Israel's Health Ministry revealed Tuesday that 6,131 casualties have been admitted to hospitals since the outbreak of war with Iran on Feb. 28, with 118 patients still undergoing active treatment.
In a statement posted to X, the US social media platform, the ministry broke down current cases: one patient is in critical condition, 17 are in serious condition, 27 are in moderate condition, 72 have sustained minor injuries, and one individual is receiving treatment for anxiety.
The casualty figures emerge as regional hostilities show no signs of abating — a conflict set in motion when Israel and the US launched a joint offensive against Iran on Feb. 28, a campaign that has since killed more than 1,340 people, including former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Tehran has responded with relentless waves of drone and missile strikes across the region, hitting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states that host US military forces.
