Uzbek, Saudi Leaders Discuss Rising Tensions in Middle East
(MENAFN) Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud spoke by phone on Sunday, expressing serious concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East, according to the Uzbek presidential press service.
Both leaders stressed that preventing further escalation and achieving a comprehensive resolution is vital not only for the region but also for global stability.
Mirziyoyev affirmed that Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with the leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia during these challenging times. The Saudi crown prince highlighted his appreciation for the sincere goodwill and friendly support conveyed by the Uzbek president.
The two sides also agreed to strengthen high-level communication and pursue coordinated efforts to enhance bilateral and multilateral relations, the press service said.
