Trump Expresses Confidence in Gabbard’s Stance on Iran Nuclear Issue
(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump expressed continued confidence in Tulsi Gabbard on Sunday, despite noting differences in their approach to Iran’s nuclear program, as stated by reports.
Asked aboard Air Force One whether he still trusts Gabbard, Trump replied, "Yeah, sure." He acknowledged a variation in perspective, saying:
"I mean, she’s a little bit different in her thought process than me, but that doesn’t make somebody not available to serve."
Trump emphasized his strong opposition to Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, noting, "because if they had a nuclear weapon, they'd use it immediately."
Regarding Gabbard’s position, he observed, "I think she's probably a little bit softer on that issue, but that's okay," and added: "softer on that issue. But I have other people, not too many. That's an issue that we've had great support."
