Israeli Army Intercepts Two Drones Launched from Yemen

(MENAFN) The Israeli Army reported early Monday that two drones launched from Yemen were intercepted.

Military spokeswoman Ella Waweya said the Israeli Air Force successfully neutralized the drones within the past hour. Earlier, Israeli media reported that sirens sounded in the southern city of Eilat due to concerns over a potential drone intrusion. No further details were provided.

The announcement followed claims by Yemen’s Houthi forces that they had conducted two military operations against sensitive sites in southern Israel using cruise missiles and drones.

The incident occurs amid ongoing regional tensions since Israel and the United States launched a military campaign against Iran on Feb. 28. Reports indicate the conflict has resulted in more than 1,340 deaths, including Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as US-linked locations in Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
