Massive Pro-Palestine Rallies Sweep Across Europe
(MENAFN) On Saturday, numerous demonstrations supporting Palestine drew significant crowds across Europe.
As stated by reports, in London, “Over half a million people” marched in solidarity with Palestine and to oppose far-right movements, according to the Palestine Solidarity Campaign on the social media platform X.
Protesters, including participants from groups such as the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the Stop the War Coalition, voiced their condemnation of Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon as well as the US-Israeli military actions targeting Iran.
Marchers carried signs with slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine,” “Stop Bombing Iran,” and “Stop Arming Israel,” while also raising awareness against Islamophobia.
Across France, demonstrations took place in several regions following the mobilization efforts of around 90 organizations.
“In every region of France we are demonstrating for: self-determination of the Palestinian people and the right of return for Palestinian refugees; an end to occupation, colonization and apartheid; sanctions against Israel; a permanent ceasefire; and an end to the genocide,” stated Association France Palestine Solidarite on X.
Reports indicated that thousands of activists took to the streets in Paris, while nearly 1,000 people joined demonstrations in Angers in western France.
