US-Israeli Strike Damages Methanol Facility in Iran

(MENAFN) A joint US-Israeli attack struck an industrial methanol production complex at Dayyer port in Iran’s Bushehr province on Friday evening, according to reports.

The assault reportedly involved two projectiles hitting the pier of the Kaveh Petrochemical methanol facility, damaging the pier’s control room. Initial information indicates that the methanol production units themselves were not harmed and continued operating without disruption. No casualties were reported in the incident.

The US and Israel have conducted airstrikes on Iran since February 28, resulting in over 1,340 deaths, including that of the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as neighboring countries including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military installations. These exchanges have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
