Türkiye, Azerbaijan Ink MoU to Boost Media Cooperation
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s Communications Directorate signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency on Friday, during the International Strategic Communication Summit (STRATCOM) 2026 in Istanbul, according to reports.
The agreement was formalized by Communications Director Burhanettin Duran and Ahmad Ismayilov, chairman of Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency, as stated on social media.
The memorandum is designed to enhance collaboration between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in areas such as digital and social media, audiovisual media, strategic communication, and crisis management, Duran said.
Both sides also agreed to set up a joint working commission and permanent committees under the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Joint Media Platform.
The platform’s goal is to strengthen media integration between the two countries, ensure accurate public information, and coordinate efforts to combat disinformation.
