G7 Foreign Ministers Demand Immediate Halt to Civilian Attacks
(MENAFN) Foreign ministers from the G7 nations urged on Friday for a swift cessation of assaults on civilians and civilian infrastructure in the ongoing Middle Eastern conflict involving Iran.
"There can be no justification for the deliberate targeting of civilians in situations of armed conflict as well as attacks on diplomatic facilities," the ministers emphasized in a joint declaration following their meeting in France.

Furthermore, the G7 urged action to restore maritime safety along a vital international shipping corridor.
"We reiterated the absolute necessity to permanently restore safe and toll free freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, consistent with UNSC (UN Security Council) Resolution 2817 and the Law of the Sea," the statement concluded.
