Fresh Iranian Missile Attacks Israel

(MENAFN) A fresh wave of missiles launched from Iran struck Israel early Thursday, setting off air raid sirens across central areas, Jerusalem, and parts of the north, and causing injuries and property damage, according to reports.

Officials reported that missile launches were detected heading toward central Israel and the Jerusalem region. Warning sirens were activated throughout central areas, Jerusalem, and parts of the occupied West Bank.

Additional alerts were sounded in northern regions, including towns in the Golan Heights such as Ortal and Ein Zivan, as well as communities in the Galilee Panhandle, including Gonen, Lehavot HaBashan, and Shamir.

The latest attacks reportedly included a cluster missile, with loud explosions heard in the Sharon region. Several people were injured, and damage occurred to a building in the Kafr Qasim area of central Israel.

The escalation in the region has intensified since a joint US-Israeli campaign against Iran began on February 28, reportedly resulting in over 1,340 fatalities, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Tehran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, along with US military positions in Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation, according to reports.
