Iran Launches New Missile Strikes on Israel, causing Damage, injuries

(MENAFN) A new wave of Iranian missile attacks struck Israel early Thursday, setting off air raid sirens across central regions, Jerusalem, and northern areas, while causing property damage and injuries, according to reports.

Launches were detected from Iran toward central Israel and the Jerusalem vicinity. Sirens warning of missile and rocket attacks sounded across central Israel, the Jerusalem area, and parts of the West Bank.

Additional alerts were issued in northern regions, including the Golan Heights towns of Ortal and Ein Zivan, as well as in the Galilee Panhandle communities of Gonen, Lehavot HaBashan, and Shamir.

The latest barrage reportedly included a cluster missile, with loud explosions heard in the Sharon region. Several people were injured, and a building in the Kafr Qasim area of central Israel sustained damage.

The regional conflict has escalated since February 28, following a joint US-Israeli offensive on Iran, which has so far resulted in over 1,340 deaths, including senior officials. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, along with Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military assets, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
