Iran Launches Missile Strikes on Tel Aviv, Several Injured

(MENAFN) An Iranian missile slammed into Tel Aviv on Tuesday, wounding several civilians and leaving a trail of structural damage across Israel's commercial capital, according to Israeli authorities — marking a dramatic escalation as the regional conflict entered its 25th consecutive day.

Thunderous explosions reverberated throughout the city, with eyewitnesses describing towering columns of smoke billowing from both the northern and southern districts. Israel's Army Radio, citing senior security officials, reported the weapon appeared to be a cluster-type missile — carrying multiple bomblets each weighing approximately 100 kilograms — with the submunitions and their fragments striking several separate locations simultaneously.

At one impact site in northern Tel Aviv, the missile detonated between residential buildings. Miki David, commander of the Tel Aviv district in the Home Front Command, told reporters on the ground that it had caused "a powerful blast wave that heavily damaged three buildings." He confirmed that structural shelters within those buildings held firm and that occupants who had taken cover emerged unharmed.

Footage circulating on social media revealed a visible crater at the point of impact.

In an official statement, the Israeli military confirmed that search and rescue teams had been deployed across "several sites" in central Israel following multiple reported strikes.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service reported six individuals sustained light injuries, none of whom required hospitalization.

Throughout the night and into Tuesday morning, air raid sirens sounded seven separate times across Israel as Iranian missile fire continued. The final barrage triggered alerts in southern Israel, including in Dimona — home to Israel's nuclear facility.

The attack unfolded as U.S. President Donald Trump's assertion of active diplomatic talks drew a swift rebuke from Tehran, which dismissed the claim as "fake news," underscoring the deepening gulf between the two sides even as casualties mounted on the ground.
