Bahrain Advise Citizens to Take Cover as Sirens Alert Amid Escalation
(MENAFN) Bahraini authorities warned residents early Tuesday to "head to the nearest safe place" after emergency sirens were activated amid rising regional tensions, according to reports.
"The siren has been sounded. Citizens and residents are urged to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place," the Interior Ministry stated on the social media platform X.
The alert comes amid ongoing hostilities in the region following US and Israeli strikes on Iran that began on February 28. In response, Iran has carried out repeated drone and missile attacks targeting Israel as well as Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
