The UAE will announce petrol prices on March 31 for the month of April 2026.<\/p>

Going by the rally in global oil prices in the first three weeks of March due to the regional conflict and US-Israel-Iran war<\/a>, fuel prices in the UAE are also expected to see a big jump in April. Many countries have already increased petrol prices due to a spike in global oil prices.<\/p>

The Brent oil price has jumped by 54 per cent or $39.32 a barrel in three weeks, rising from $72.87 a barrel at the end of February to $112.19 a barrel at the close of markets on March 20. It hit a high of over $118 a barrel last week due to the Middle East military conflict.<\/p>

Oil prices are trading close to levels seen during the Russia-Ukraine war when Brent was around $125 a barrel. In the price, price of Super 98 petrol price in the UAE jumped to Dh3.74 a litre, while Special 95 rose to Dh3.62 a litre in April 2022. Prices crossed the Dh4 per litre mark for the first time in June 2022 as Russia-Ukraine war escalated.<\/p>

In the UAE, petrol prices were increased in March 2026 by around Dh0.14 per litre to bring them in line with global rates.<\/p>

The UAE increased Super 98 petrol price to Dh2.59 a litre in March, up from Dh2.45 in February. Special 95 price was hiked to Dh2.48 per litre, compared to Dh2.33. E-Plus 91 was priced at Dh2.40 per litre in March, up from Dh2.26 a litre in previous month.<\/p>

The diesel price was hiked by Dh0.20 to Dh2.72 a litre this month.<\/p>

Meanwhile, the official petrol and diesel prices will be announced by the UAE on March 31 for the next month.<\/p>

Global oil prices rose further on Monday morning as regional military conflict escalated.<\/p>

The average Brent closing price in the first three weeks of March 2026 was over $92, compared to $68.92 last month, due to the Middle East military conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran. The conflict broke out on February 28 when the US and Israel launched attacks on the Iranian leadership and military infrastructure, pushing prices higher.<\/p>

The situation went from bad to worse when the Strait of Hormuz was closed to ships and oil tankers due to the war. Around 20 per cent of the world\u2019s oil passes through the Strait every day.
