Iranian Strikes Prompt Air Raid Sirens in Tel Aviv
(MENAFN) Air raid alarms rang out across Tel Aviv early Wednesday as Iran launched another round of attacks, according to reports.
The Israeli military stated that its air defense systems were engaged in efforts to intercept incoming missiles during the incident, as stated by reports. Warning sirens were activated throughout central parts of the country, with a particular concentration in the Tel Aviv region.
According to reports, at least one missile carrying multiple warheads was seen over the city, with explosions heard in the sky shortly afterward.
Reports indicated that debris from one such missile landed in the city of Holon, leading to material damage in the area.
Emergency responders were quickly sent to the scene, with initial information suggesting that no injuries had been recorded.
Ongoing hostilities between Israel and the United States on one side and Iran on the other have continued since late February, with reports estimating around 1,300 fatalities so far, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In response, Iran has carried out a series of retaliatory drone and missile strikes aimed at Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf nations hosting US military facilities. These exchanges have resulted in casualties, infrastructure damage, and wider disruptions affecting global markets and air travel, according to reports.
