Drone Strike Sparks Fire at UAE’s Fujairah Oil Zone

(MENAFN) A fire erupted in the Fujairah Oil Industries Zone in the United Arab Emirates following a drone attack, authorities reported, according to local media.

No casualties have been reported, the Fujairah Media Office stated on social media. Civil defense teams responded promptly and continue efforts to control the blaze. Officials urged the public to rely solely on verified sources for updates.

The incident comes amid rising tensions across the Middle East after joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran that began in late February, resulting in approximately 1,300 deaths, including the nation’s then-supreme leader, as stated by reports.

In retaliation, Iran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military facilities. These strikes have caused casualties, damaged infrastructure, and disrupted both global markets and aviation, according to reports.
